Vacuum dryer
The vacuum dryer consists of a series of heated working surfaces, with the number varying from 2 to 6 in our models. The hides to be dried are laid on these surfaces.
The surfaces are heated internally through the forced circulation of hot water, which transfers heat to the surfaces and, consequently, to the hides. However, temperature alone would not be sufficient without the action of the vacuum.
During the drying cycle, the surfaces close tightly against each other thanks to special rubber seals, forming an airtight chamber. Once sealed, the vacuum generation system activates, drastically lowering the internal pressure — from normal atmospheric pressure (1 bar) down to values close to absolute zero.
This pressure reduction significantly lowers the boiling point of the water contained in the hides, allowing the evaporation of residual moisture at very low temperatures (36–40 °C). The result is a complete and gentle drying process that preserves the physical and elastic properties of the leather.
Advantages of our machine:
• Robust carbon steel structure for long-lasting durability in acidic environments such as tanneries.
• High-quality stainless steel surface with many configuration options.
• Top-level condensation thanks to oversized and pass-through condensers.
• Low environmental impact — thanks to our innovative systems, electrical consumption is about 20% lower compared to competitors.
• High environmental respect due to our innovative dry pump system.
• Powerful vacuum generation thanks to our combined cycle of new-generation pumps.
